The NFC technology , more commonly called “Near Field Communication” or “Contactless”, it is how to communicate with mobile devices and smartphones objects, devices and machines in order to transmit information or authenticate.
NFC , or near field communication, enables smartphones and other devices to communicate with other devices or articles containing an NFC tag.
If you move your smartphone through the shelf of articles in a store, or passing it near a work in a local museum, or bringing the phone with a friend to share the latest games, near field technology or “contactless” allows you to pay, play, authenticate and learn with ease.
The NFC has two clear divisions of practical application:

Transmission frequency and speed: like RFID, NFC works in the 13.56 MHz radio frequency spectrum, but with less than 15 mA of power to be able to communicate data over distances of less than 20 cm.
NFC tags typically store between 96 and 512 bytes of data, and data transfer uses a speed of 106Kb / s, 212Kb / s, 424kb / s, or 848kb / s – enough to move small packets of information virtually instantaneously. .
NFC interfaces are defined and standardized under ISO and ECMA standards. The ISO / IEC 18092 and ECMA-340 define communication modes for the NFC interface and its Protocol (NFCIP), an active and passive communication mode is selected and the relevant modulation systems, encodings, transfer rates, the format of frame, collision control parameters, transport protocol and more.
ISO / IEC 21481 and ECMA-352 define NFCIP-2, which specifies communication modes to minimize interference with other devices for contactless cards.
